The Quran encourages us to read, write, think, research, comprehend, and apply knowledge. “Read, O Prophet, in the Name of your Lord Who created humans from a clinging clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, Who taught by the pen- taught humanity what they knew not.” (Surah Al Alaq, 1-5). "Say to them, "Are the blind and the seeing equal? Why then do you not think?” (Surah Al Anam, 50). Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts? (Surah Muhammad, 24) Have they not traveled throughout the land so their hearts may reason, and their ears may listen? Indeed, it is not the eyes that are blind, but it is the hearts in the chests that grow blind. (Surah Hajj, 46) And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth - all from Him. Indeed, that is a sign for people who give thought. (Surah Al-Jathiyah, 45:13)</span></p>
